Krane Bags now 50% off.
There is not a day that goes by that I walk into the doors of UPC and look over at the Krane bags and wish that someday, somehow they will go on sale to the point where I can finally afford one.
I have been eyeing the laptop wax canvas bag for about two years now but couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger until now…waxed cotton, suede interior this is a YEAR round bag. Water, snow you name it, it will repel it. All black = perfect for work. 50% off = perfect for my wallet.
A deal like this does not come along often and one that I can not resist jumping on. So…bye bye Jack Spade hello Mr. Krane.

Krane.
Can someone explain to me HOW this brand does not get more press. We’ve been carrying Krane since the inception of the store and each year their collection expands and gets better and better. We also love the fact that their production is in Canada!
This spring summer collection was by far one of their strongest and the first one that we decided to purchase beyond outerwear and bags. We’ve talked at length about the aforementioned pieces but nowhere near enough about their wovens. They have transferred their quality and attention to detail onto their other pieces in this spring/summer collection and it does not disappoint. One of my favourite pieces is the Krane Joshua shirt. Using a lightweight black cotton, this shirt is perfect for a hot summer night and looks incredible opened with a white v neck underneath. Krane has this uncanny ability to create military/uniform inspired pieces with a relaxed look something which is rarely duplicated by any other brand.
Drop by the store and check out some of the other styles, you will not be disappointed.
The art of the bag.
I love bags there is no doubt about it. But I’m picky. I’m not a fan of the tote for men and for SOME reason I got over the burberry plaid very quickly but that’s not to say I don’t love a good pattern. And so this is why I wanted to emphasize two bags that we have currently have in the shop.
I love colour and always will. Any brand that can create a simple pattern and make the bag look both elegant and relaxed is in my mind an absolute winner. We first discovered sessun as a brand a long time ago and have been in love with it since. It’s one of those brands that consistently creates pieces each and every season that make you go wow. This past S/S 2010 collection did exactly that…one of our favourite pieces from this collection, fittingly was the mosaic bag. With a relatively inexpensive price tag you can not go wrong.
Krane laptop messenger bag. One word. Gorgeous. I’ve literally fallen in love with this company, between the craftmanship and leather I don’t think there is a better outerwear or ‘bag’ company in the industry (well I still have an affinity for Filson truth be told). With that being said, the second you try this bag on you will be sold on it…literally! This is by far one of my most favourite pieces from their collection. Oh and did I mention they’re from Canada…it’s time to pop into UPC and grab one already.

Krane
One of the most underrated brands that I have encountered during my time in fashion is Krane. The brand is based off of vintage uniforms with an ode to modern industrial design. With an attention to detail that rivals high end designers from around the world their outerwear is on another level. Between fabrics and functionality buying one of their outerwear pieces is like making an investment in your wardrobe. It will last for years as it is one of the best constructed coats you will ever purchase. Throw in the fact that their designs are timeless this coat will last way beyond any trend. Come by the store and just try one on you will be instantly hooked…
