I know it’s summer…but…
How can you not get excited for Fall Merchandise. Summer merch is on sale, product is getting thinner and thinner everyday which means…here comes Fall! How can I think like this? Well truth be told, Fall is BY far my most favourite fashion season. It has the aspects of both hot and cold meaning you can have a great crossover from both seasons. I live in long sleeves come cold weather and combine that with the number of options we are bringing in for Fall; I think I’m in heaven!
So with that, I thought I would show you a little ‘sneak’ peek of our upcoming buy. Some of our favs…

Margarita Saplala is by far the brand I am most excited for coming this Fall. Their colours, fits and pieces are both elegant, relaxed and hang off the body perfectly. It’s like combining both bohemian and high end into one. Dare I say a hippie fashionista .

Somehow each and EVERY year Velour sucks me into buying their buttons downs…why? Because they are absolutely some of the best fitting and most creative ones out there. Gets me every time with the contrasting colours. Damn. Them.

Trending…
Bow ties and Suspenders. While I am not the biggest believer in trends as I feel everything at some point comes back into fashion. Remember it’s not what’s popular that makes the outfit but rather how you put that outfit together. With that being said, we are DEFINITELY seeing a push towards a ‘retro’ classic look this fall. As my tastes have ‘matured’ my style has followed suit and my prediction this fall is a BIG push towards that aforementioned retro style of outfitting. I’m already excited for fall fashion what’s wrong with me?!
Both Velour and Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair have taken this to heart for fall/winter 2010. I am really looking forward to a more dressed up look come fall with an emphasis on primp, proper and classic. I feel as though we have a very nice resurgence of the 1960s coming our way…

The similarities of fashion from various decades is amazing and I love it. And one of the main reasons I feel trends are more of a product of hype rather than one’s own individuality. Now if only we all could dress like Mr. Sean Connery.
Summer is here.
I’ve been waiting patiently for the summer months to come. Every day I look into my closet hoping and praying that today will be the day that I can grab my shorts jump on my bike and head down to trinity bellwoods and lay in the sun. And I can officially say that that time is HERE.
One of my most absolute favourite things for summer are dresses. I love them. I feel as though everyone and when I say everyone I mean both men and women are happier in dresses! I’m convinced that it is the exact medicine that Toronto needs. I was walking through Yorkville yesterday and every woman I saw in a dress just looked happy, comfortable and relaxed and at this point I could officially say summer was here.
So here are some of my recommendations for a summer dress. One caveat, I love white and I love patterns!
These are BY FAR my favourites in store right now. I absolutely love the length of the Margarita dress and the playfulness of the Velour dress. Also, you should know by now that EVERYONE needs a least ONE white dress in their wardrobe…
I think it’s time to bring back the look of the week!
Myself and the braintrust of UPC Boutique have decided to bring back the look of the week! Every monday will now officially be know as ‘what I should be wearing while I walk the streets of toronto to make every man and woman jealous’. Ok well maybe that’s a little long…how about ’The UPC look of the week’. How creative…I know!
