Inspired by Alice.

I recently came across a fantastic posting by mychicagostylist on the inspiration of the new movie Alice in Wonderland on fashion.  It is not often that a movie will get such praise for their stunning costume design…

‘The most recent release of Alice in Wonderland in 3D is a whimsical, updated version of the classic fairytale. Many went to see this flick to experience the new technology which was introduced in Avatar. While so many were  oooing and ahhing over the technology, I was amazed by the unbelievable costume design. No matter the media, my eye alway seems to go straight to what the characters are wearing. The actress who played alice, is a lengthy, pale, model of sorts. I could not keep my eyes off of  her costumes. The transformation her body and wardrobe went through was unbelievably creative. Due to Alice’s curiosity, she would take a bite of cake and would go from  average to enormous in a matter of seconds. Her wardrobe transitioned as well. Designers are coming out of the dark ages and showing more unique designs. I believe this film portrayed a tremendous amount of fashion innovation and brought so much life to the storyline as well.’
